Tire Garden

Week 31

I'm sure you have all seen all the cool things you can do with old tires on Pinterest. I fell in love with the idea of a tire garden when I started brightening up my backyard with all the furniture and things I just painted this summer. I had left over paint, and I got the old tires for free,  so besides the flowers I bought ($12 total) this project was basically free!

I am 38 weeks preggo this week,  so it was a little tougher to accomplish,  but I did it with a lot of help from my almost 3 year old. He helped me wash and scrub the tires, paint them,  picked out the flowers,  and helped me plant and water them.  I had old landscaping mesh that I stapled into the bottoms of tires before adding the dirt which will allow drainage.

I have to make a promise to my loved ones now,  that this will be the last manual labor project for at least a few weeks after baby arrives. I promise, I swear. ;-)
